    Eurodiaconia links diaconal actors to examine social needs, develop ideas and influence policies impacting Poverty and Social Exclusion, Social and Health Care Services and the Future of Social Europe.

    Eurodiaconia also provides a platform for transnational networking and best practice sharing.

Eurodiaconia Mission and Vision
Eurodiaconia is a federation of 33 members – churches, non-statutory welfare organisations and NGOs in Europe rooted in the Christian faith within the traditions of the Reformation as well as in the Anglican and Orthodox traditions.
Eurodiaconia’s aim is to link its members to serve for solidarity and justice.
 
Our common vision as a leading network for diaconal work in Europe is
to develop dialogue and partnership between members and influence and engage with the wider society.  We do this to enable inclusion, care and empowerment of the most vulnerable and excluded and ensure dignity for all.

Our common mission is
to represents a dynamic, Europe wide community of organizations founded in the Christian faith and working in the tradition of Diaconia, who are committed to a Europe of solidarity, equality and justice.


Eurodiaconia seeks to achieve change through the following strategic goals:

 

Praxis
Develop and enable membership engagement and partnerships, both internally and externally, that develop praxis and extend resources

 

Advocacy
Create a network of competence to impact relevant social policies at national and European level

 

Identity and values
Support the development of approaches and thinking on Diaconia in Europe today
