to be put in touch with the relevant individual. Eurodiaconia is a member of the European Anti-Poverty Network (EAPN) which is coordinating NGO involvement in this year. Several Eurodiaconia members are involved in the national branches of EAPN. Many will be particularly active during their country's national focus week.
AUSTRIA Diakonie Austria Diakonie Österreich Albert Schweitzer Haus Schwarzspanierstraβe 13 1090 Vienna Diakonie Österreich will focus on minimum income, health inequality, child poverty, wealth and inequality, issues of respect and shame, involvement of people experiencing poverty. A fundraising and awareness-raising campaign entitled "Give me a Chance" will focus on disadvantaged children and young adults, including those with migrant backgrounds. CZECH REPUBLIC Diaconia of the Evangelical Church of the Czech Brethren (DECCB) Diakonie Ceskobratské církve evangelické Belgicka 22 120 00 Prague 2 DECCB will focus on youth at risk of trafficking, as well developing social services for people endangered by trafficking and work exploitation. Silesian Diaconia Slezská diakonie Na Nivách 7 737 01 Český Tĕsín Slezská diaconie will work with the Czech branch of the EAPN on activities during the 2010 Czech focus week and the meeting of people experiencing poverty. In addition, they plan to organize a travelling exhibit of photos of people experiencing poverty combined with a presentation and public discussion in about 10 cities and towns where Slezská diaconie is present. They also plan to produce a leaflet, and possibly a DVD, about poverty and social exclusion. DENMARK
The Danish Diaconal Council and the Council on International Relations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denmark are working together in connection with the 2010 European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion. They have launched the project “churches against poverty” which aims at focusing on the social responsibility of the churches.

Dansk Diakoniråd c/o Den danske Diakonissestiftelse Peter Bangs Vej 1D 2200 Frederiksberg Dansk Diakoniråd represents diaconal institutions and associations active throughout Denmark. For the 2010 year, they will develop a campaign with church parishes in Denmark. Kofoeds Skole Nyrnberggade 1 2300 København Kofoeds Skole will cooperate with Danish NGOs via the Danish EAPN network to develop seminars and conferences. FINLAND Church Resources Agency Kirkkopalvelut PL/PO Box 279 OO181 Helsinki The 2010 Finnish Common Responsibility Campaign (Yhteisvastuukeräys - - http://www.yhteisvastuu.fi/) will focus on families with small children living in poverty. This is the largest fundraising campaign in Finland and is supported by major Finnish church and diaconal organisations. GERMANY Diakonisches Werk der EKD Reichensteiner Weg 24 14195 Berlin Diakonisches Werk der EKD is planning many activities throughout Germany for the 2010 European Year. It is a member of the German national program committee planning the year and very involved in the German branch of EAPN. One particular focus of the year will be the relationship between poverty and health including the challenges of a "poverty sensitive health system". Click here to learn more. HUNGARY Hungarian Reformed Church Magyarországi Református Egyház Hungária Krt. 200 1146 Budapest The Hungarian Reformed Church is planning cooperation with government and NGOs, will stress the Christian way of thinking on poverty, map new risks of poverty caused by the financial crisis, conferences and research on the changing face of poverty. ICELAND The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Iceland Den evangeliska Lutherska Kyrkan i Island Diakoniavdelningen Biskupsstofa Laugavegi 31 150 Reykjavík Icelandic Church Aid will lead 2010 activities fo the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Iceland. Congregations work through them to provide food, clothes and advice to people in need. ITALY Diaconia Valdese Commissione Sinodale per la Diaconia Via Angrogna 18 10066 Torre Pellice (TO) Diaconia Valdese is tentatively planning a 1-2 day meeting on poverty for March 2010. LATVIA The Diaconia Centre of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia (ELCL) LELB Diakonijas Centrs Daugavgrivas 1 Riga LV 1048 NETHERLANDS Kerk in Actie Postbus 456 3500 AL Utrecht Kerk in Actie will conduct research on the individual financial help provided by churches to people experiencing poverty. They will also work through the Arme Kant to create materials and organize debates with churches and politicians on poverty in the Netherlands and how to improve the system. They will provide financial support to local organisations working with people experiencing poverty. Download a programme of meetings on poverty taking place 7 October - 13 November 2009 throughout the Netherlands. NORWAY Church of Norway Kirkerådet P.S. Box 799 Sentrum Rådhusgata 1-3 0106 Oslo Church City Mission of Oslo is the 2010 coordinating body for the Church of Norway. Its member Batteriet has been asked by the Norwegian Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion to implement two important fora for the 2010 Year: a Collaborative Forum and a Contact Committee. The Collaborative Forum will consist of representatives of different organisations working on poverty to come together quarterly to discuss and raise questions concerning different political and social issues. The Contact Group meets with the Minister of Labour and Social Inclusion, and other relevant Ministers as needed, 3-4 times a year to resolve the questions raised in the Collaborative Forum. Battereit is a service centre for self-help organisations and individuals who want to work against social exclusion, isolation and poverty in Norway.
