Eurodiaconia is pleased to invite you to its first Expert Meeting on EU mobile Roma on 22nd March 2019 at the Eurodiaconia premises in Brussels. EU mobile Roma, are those EU citizens of Roma ethnicity, who are using their right of free movement within the European Union. Unfortunately, their numbers living in the streets of western European cities have been increasing over the last years, for a range of reasons. Several Eurodiaconia member organisations are working a lot with those, often destitute, EU mobile Roma on the ground. On a European level, however, this group has so far hardly been addressed. Eurodiaconia, therefore, aims at bringing together experts from its membership and partner organisations in order to formulate concrete recommendations for the European Commission and Member States, especially in view of a potential future EU Roma Strategy. The Experts Meeting will build on the in-depth knowledge of the different participants. While the morning session will provide opportunities for the sharing of expertise and observations, the afternoon will be dedicated to discussing the problem and possible solutions and the formulating of joint recommendations.

This is a closed meeting, therefore, registration is by invitation only. If you wish to participate in this event please contact Anne-Sophie Wislocki at annesophie.wislocki@eurodiaconia.org.
