Recently, the latest edition of the Journal “Diaconia. Journal for the Study of Christian Social Practice” has been published. It is freely available as an open access journal and brings together a wide range of academic contributions on the study of Diaconia. The articles, all written by distinguished experts in diaconal sciences, discuss topics like organisational processes in care facilities or deaconesses as global actors. The issues also look at the distinctiveness of Diaconia in post-secular societies and new approaches of the very foundations of diaconal sciences.

This is the last volume of the editor-in-chief Prof. Dr. Trygve Wyller (University of Oslo, Norway) who served in this function for many years and contributed hugely to the development of the journal. His successor will be Prof. Dr. Annette Leis-Peters (VID specialized university, Norway) who has an impressive track record in diaconal sciences and served as a Board member of the International Society for the Research and Study of Diaconia and Christian Social Practice (ReDi).

This latest edition of Diaconia, as well as previous editions, can be freely accessed on elibrary.net.
