One of our Baltic members, Diakonija Latvija (Diaconia Latvia) offers learning opportunity in Riga on diaconal service.

The 5th course being offered by Diaconia Latvia’s diaconal center is entitled “The Importance of Anthropological Knowledge in Diaconal Service.” The lessons will be led by Dace Dolace, Assistant Professor  at the Latvian Christian Academy, and will take place on 7th October from 10:30am to 4:00pm in St. Gertrude Church in Riga.

On the training day, there will be several subjects covered, aimed at enabling the congregation and community of Diaconia Latvia who are providing, or willing to provide services to a wide range of difficulties, including caring for the elderly, orphans, the sick, and those in prison or in hospital.

The lesson are intended for those who have already been involved in Diaconia Latvia’s ‘school’, or those who have not yet participated. All the courses offered by our member in Latvia are based on the objective of providing the necessary help needed for all members of the community in body, soul and spirit.
