Eurodiaconia has recently finalised a policy paper on “Free movement in the EU: preventing destitution of mobile EU citizens” which is accompanied by a briefing entitled “Free movement in the EU: what rights for EU mobile citizens?” The policy paper gives an overview of Eurodiaconia’s position on the issue of intra-EU mobility and makes recommendations to EU and Member State level decision makers to prevent the growing number of destitute EU mobile citizens. The briefing is aimed at members of Eurodiaconia who would like to gain a better understanding of the rules of free movement, with suggestions on how to use the policy paper internally and in their own national/ local level advocacy.
