Date(s) - 06/11/2019 - 07/11/2019
All Day

This advanced EU funding workshop will provide participants with in-depth knowledge about the Asylum, Migration & Integration Fund (AMIF), the European Solidarity Corps, and the Erasmus+ programme. All three funds are important for diaconal organisations in Europe working with migrants, young people, staff development & exchanges, best practice sharing, long-term-care, volunteering etc. and are already used within the network. Learning more about these programmes will enhance your chances of being funded and for being a competent partner in European project consortia.

Participants will not only get an in-depth immersion into the rationale of the programmes. Participatory sessions will walk participants through the most important aspects of the application process for each programme and work on real application forms and discussing good and bad examples from the real life of EU-funding applications.

The three workshop trainers are experts in the field, having worked with Erasmus+, the ESC and AMIF for several years. Francesco Fusaro is programme manager for the AMIF at the European Commission and can offer his firsthand expertise on the programme and what the European Commission wants to support through AMIF. Sara Mieth is the European Liasion Officer for the Network of European Voluntary Service Organisations and has vast experience in international youth exchanges and related EU-funding programme such as the ESC. Francesca Operti advises nongovernmental organisations on the use of Erasmus+ and offers trainings on how to successfully apply for Erasmus+ funding.

Participants should have some first experience with EU-funding and have ideally already attended Eurodiaconia’s Basic EU-Funding & Project Management Workshops. If you want to make sure this is the right event for you or if you have any questions at all, please get in touch with Florian Tuder (Senior Policy, Projects & Research Officer) at Eurodiaconia: florian.tuder@eurodiaconia.org.

The registration deadline is 7 October 2019.
