On the 13th of April, Eurodiaconia and Red Cross EU Office are organising a Roundtable Discussion on Food aid & cost of living crisis in Europe at the European Parliament, in Brussels.
The ongoing crisis has worsened the situation of millions of people across Europe who are struggling to make ends meet and has increased the pressure on not-for-profit social service providers and food banks.
During this Roundtable, we will discuss the measures needed to effectively tackle the cost-of-living crisis and foster social inclusion. We will also listen to presentations from Red Cross and Eurodiaconia members & learn how the crises have impacted their work. Furthermore, we will hear not-for-profit organisations’ experience on accessing funds (including EU funds) for providing food support to people in need.
