Eurodiaconia cordially invites you to a new webinar on the European Pillar of Social Rights. This is the fourth webinar in a series started last year and it will focus in particular how the European Pillar of Social Rights is addressing the provision of Active Support to Employment.
The webinar aims at providing members with a better understanding of the European Pillar of Social Rights as a policy tool, as well as assessing its implementation in the area of support services that are conducive to employment. Our partners form EUROCITIES will join the webinar and provide a short analysis, followed by a discussion with participants. Participants will be encouraged to formulate recommendations on a better implementation of the European Pillar of Social Rights with regard to active support to employment.
The European Pillar of Social Rights contains 20 principles and was jointly proclaimed by all EU Institutions in November 2017. Therefore, all EU Institutions and Member States have made a commitment to implement those 20 principles and to make the inherent social rights a reality for all persons legally residing on their territory. Principle 4 regards Active Support to Employment and includes the right of everyone to timely and tailor-made assistance to improve employment prospects of people, among other provisions.
