logo-ce-horizontal-en-quadri-jpgThe European Commission has just released its 2016 Country Reports, which analyse the economic and social policies of EU Member States. The publication of the Country Reports is part of the European Semester cycle, following on the 2016 Annual Growth Survey (which sets out broad strategic priorities for the EU as a whole).

It is worthwhile to check the contents of the Country Reports for two reasons: 1) you can use the analysis put forth in these reports to support your own input for the National Reform Programme of your government. 2) The Country Reports will constitute the foundation for Country-Specific Recommendations, which the Commission will issue to each Member State in May 2016. Some of these will be related specifically to social and healthcare policy.

The country reports are available both in English and (in the case of non-English speaking countries) in the respective national languages of EU Member States. To access the reports, please click here.

If you have any questions, or if you would like to respond to the Commission on the contents of the report, please contact Stephan at stephan.burger@eurodiaconia.org.
