logo-fepOur French member Fédération de l’Entraide Protestante (Federation of Protestant Mutual Aid), has launched a new diaconal course in cooperation with the University of Strasbourg University.

The training centre for theology and practice at the faculty of Protestant Theology, Strasbourg University, has increased its offer to cover a University degree for people willing to become a primary school catechist, volunteer at hospitals and in prisons and be a diaconal worker. This course contains three modules plus one for free, which can be completed with a “diaconal” option.

The goal is to help students discover the cultural and theological references of the social, medical and educational services provided from the protestant world, as well to analyse the links between Christian faith and social engagement. This addresses mainly diaconal workers and volunteers, whether they are believers or not.
