The World Council of Churches Round Table Foundation has announced the results of their scholarship competition.

The competition, hosted in collaboration by the WCC Round Table Foundation and Aleppo NGO, has awarded scholarships to 110 young people studying at Armenian universities.

Students that received the scholarships are citizens of the Republic of Armenia, Artsakh, Syria, Iran and Lebanon studying at educational institutions such as Armenia’s European University, the National Polytechnic University of Armenia and Goris State University.

The scholarships are incredibly important for many students from vulnerable backgrounds, including those with refugee status. It’s an important step towards ensuring that education is accessible and more inclusive for young people in Armenia. Alongside providing scholarships, the World Council of Churches has also been involved in providing training courses and professional internships.
