European_Commission_1160 x 650The European Commission offers an online course, open to everyone and free of charge, on EU budget and funding opportunities of regions and cities, starting in October 2016. The course is available on an online learning platform and consists of videos, factsheets, infographics and web-streamed live debates with Q&A from the course participants. Moreover, course followers can interact and contribute via social media and thematic groups. During the first six weeks of the course (31 October-9 December), followers will focus on one specific theme per week and will have the opportunity to evaluate their learning progress via a weekly quiz. Studying time is about two hours per week. The course material will remain available online for one year.

The aim of this course is to enhance participants’ knowledge by learning in more detail about the EU budget and funding for regions and cities. The objective is to provide insights into how the EU budget is set up and how it is spent, as well as a practical overview of EU funding opportunities at regional and local level.
