epcIn light of the ongoing refugee crisis, the EU is faced with an increasingly challenging situation: millions of refugees are fleeing war-torn countries and seeking a better future in Europe, but many of them die during the perilous journey, or fail to build up better lives once they have reached relative safety. The European Commission and Member States are struggling to agree on an effective common strategy which contributes to avoiding deaths at sea, delivering protection to those in need within and beyond the EU, managing migration and upholding security.

What should be done to overcome these challenges? What should be the priorities? What about solidarity between member states and towards third countries?
