Last week, our Romanian member Fundatia Filantropia Timisoara held a charity concert in partnership with the students from the Orthodox Theological College Saint Antim Ivirean from Timisoara, with full house at the Banat Philarmonic Hall.

Traditional carols, a great piano performance accompanied by a festive atmosphere in Timisoara’s reknown Music Hall made for an unfortgettable night.  Money was raised to help the Psychiatric Hospital and for safety measures to facilitate the extension of psycho-social recovery, reintegration and rehabilitation activities in the community of patients.

A charity exhibition with hand-made products made during art therapy and therapy activities was organised in the lobby of the Philharmonic, by people diagnosed with psychiatric and drug-dependent disorders within the unit, which provided them with an opportunity to interact and connect with the audience.

At the end of the event, the sum of 3800 lei was collected, which will be used to buy  the necessary materials for the renovation of the multifunctional space of the hospital.

Congratulations to all participants, the students and our member Fundatia Timisoara to help organising the event! In these important days of the year, our members are organising a range of events to bring warmth in their communities and gather families to reflect on this closing year and get inspired for 2020.
