Slovaks_BrusselsOn the occasion of the kick off of the Slovak Presidency of the European Council, Eurodiaconia organised a study visit for its Slovak member organisations, the Evangelical Lutheran diaconia in Slovakia and the Diaconal Center of Reformed Christian Church in Slovakia.

The aim of the study visit was to improve their knowledge on the European Institutions and on their impacts on Slovak policies. During these two days, the delegation had the chance to meet Employment and Social Services officers from the Permanent Representation of Slovakia to the EU, Slovak members of the European Parliament, and officers from the European Commission explaining the committment of the Commission directives on Long-Term Care, as well as the use of the European Social Fund in Slovakia.
The delegation had also the chance to meet representatives of the Brussels-based EU civil Society as the AGE Platform Europe and the Church’s Commission for Migrants in Europe (CCME).
