Last month, our Dutch member Kerk in Actie (Church in Action) launched the initiative for children and (grand)parents Kids in Action. The project is aimed at attracting children to the work of missions and world diaconate, engaging a direct conversation with them.
The idea is simple, Rainbow Dove, the mascot of Kids in Action, tells Dutch children and their parents and grandparents stories about other children and their living conditions across the world. In this way, kerk in Actie seek to stimulate discussion and personal engagement among young generations on child protection and diaconal mission abroad.
Passing on our faith to the children is not always easy. Rainbow Dove helps adults to involve the young generation reflecting on the meaning of generosity in a simple way.
