The Salvation Army EU Affairs Office, a member of Eurodiaconia active across the continent, has recently published a report on their work with Roma in Europe. The publication maps the work of The Salvation Army with Roma in Europe, detailing the work carried out in 12 countries where they are particularly active. Projects include a large variety of activities, ranging from pre-education and after-school programmes, community centres, drop-in centres and shelters, health care and medical assistance, employment support and training, legal advice, homelessness prevention and housing support to youth groups, parenting meetings, Bible studies, music groups and much more.

With this report The Salvation Army wants to make this important work visible internally as well as to external partners. It hopes to hence encourage the sharing of knowledge, best practice and ideas to be an inspiration for others. The report also identifies the main challenges to Roma inclusion and makes recommendations for policy makers at national levels as well as the EU level.
