arton2769The European Commission has launched a public consultation opened to citizens (EU and non – EU) and national organisations (governmental, non – governmental, private, academic) to collect opinions on the EU legislation on migrant smuggling, and to gather views on what improvements could be made to this legislation.

The Commission would in particular like to encourage to participate: public authorities (EU Member States’ migration and border control authorities, consular authorities, national police forces); organisations working in the field of migration; enterprises (especially in the field of transport); Academia as well as citizens.

The consultation, open until 6 April 2016, can be submitted in any EU official language.
