At the last Annual General Meeting, which took place in Utrecht from 8-10 June 2016, Eurodiaconia presented its 2015 Annual Report covering the organization’s activities over the last year. At the heart of these activities are our Christian values and identity that gives strength and motivation to advance the conversation on poverty, deprivation, and social justice.
The report gives us opportunity to reflect upon our main achievements, as well as what could have been done better. The Annual report also provides essential information for key stakeholders or potential members, and it is a reference for anyone who is not yet familiar with our work.
The publication begins with a message from Chairperson Carla van der Vlist and Secretary General Heather Roy, who look back at a memorable year for Eurodiaconia marked by many successful events, publications and meetings in Brussels and across Europe. The second part provides figures and more in-depth accounts of Eurodiaconia’s finances, covering social policies, and engagement in the political framework of the Europe 2020 strategy and the European Semester.
The report includes a special section on Eurodiaconia’s support for diaconal member organisations and outreach activity, with a specific focus on integrated care systems, research and innovation, and inclusive labour markets.
The Secretariat encourage the circulation of the Annual report among member organisations and national key stakeholders.
