Armenia Round Table Foundation, in cooperation with the “Armenian Missionary Association of America” and the NGO “Teach for Armenia” has recently opened a computer spot in the tiny village of Martuni, Municipality of Chambarak.
The centre is equipped with five computers, a projector, five laptops and the internet connection. Software maintenance will be also provided. A teacher, trained and contracted by “Teach for Armenia” will conduct computer based trainings over the next two years.
In the era of rapid development of information technologies, this computer centre is a step forward to provide development opportunities to the population of a disadvantaged and isolated village. The project will work to integrate the innovative methods of education and information, towards the improvement of the livelihoods of the beneficiaries, and will support local youth to gain new skills, feel part of the e-Society, and stay competitive in the labour market.
