people-speech-bubblesThe European Commission has recently published a call for public consultations for the mid-term evaluation of the Europe for Citizens programme 2014- 2020.

Since its establishment in April 2014, the Europe for Citizens programme has implemented a wide range of projects and activities aimed at promoting EU common values, knowledge of Europe’s shared history, responsible and democratic civic participation of citizens and feeling of common belonging.

The consultation aims to give individuals, public authorities, civil society organizations, stakeholders, programme beneficiaries and non-successful applicants based in EU Member States or participating countries the opportunity to:

  • Offer views, opinion and analysis on the results and impacts of activities and projects co-financed by the Europe for Citizens programme between 2014 and 2016
  • Assess the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and coherence of the programme’s impact and EU added value
  • Reflect on how the programme can have a wider impact in the coming years, also in relation to other projects for citizens of the EU.

Contributions can be made through an online questionnaire, and the call for consultations will remain open until 10th April 2017.

Organisations participating in the public consultations will be asked to provide information regarding their objectives, funding, and who they represent through the Transparency Register. The contributions to this public consultation will be published on the Internet, and as such we encourage interested parties to read the specific privacy statement of this consultation.
