On the 4th of April, our member Free Churches Group hosted a forum on higher education. The event took place in the hearth of London at Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church, and offered participants opportunities to build networks of expertise and shared interest, but most importantly was the chance to plan strategic action and involvement with higher education.
The workshops were facilitated by members of the Free Churches Group Higher Education working group, who all brought extensive experience and knowledge of the sector. Their focus was on encouraging attendees to interact, and to share experiences and ideas.
Over the last 18 months, this working group of people nominated by their denominations for their wide-ranging experience in higher education, has worked to identify the issues facing higher education today and to explore ways in which the Free Churches might engage.
