On the 24th of October, Eurodiaconia responded to the European Commission consultation on the Europe 2020 strategy midterm review. The response is accessible on the website of the public consultation (here) or can be read separately here. The consultation will remain open to all (individuals, NGOs, Member States, etc.) until 31 October 2014. Replies are accepted in any of the 24 official EU language. The aim is to enable stakeholders to feed into the review of the Europe 2020 strategy and its further development.
Thank you to all Eurodiaconia members who have contributed to this consultation through meetings and comments. The core message of the Eurodiaconia response is that the strategy must be renewed, and the poverty target must be kept. A stronger commitment to inclusive growth is absolutely necessary to rebalance the implementation of the strategy.
