Our member Kaiserswerther Generalkonferenz (Kaiserswerth General Conference – KGK) has reconfirmed Reverend Christa Schrauf as President of the organisation. Rev. Schrauf followed Pastor Christof Naef in 2013 for the remaining 3 years of the mandate, and she will stay in office for the years 2016-2021.
Mrs Schrauf has been Pastor and Chairman of the Evangelical Diakoniewerk Gallneukirchen since 2008. With its 3,500 employees, Diakoniewerk Gallneukirchen is the biggest diaconal employer in Austria. Since 2014 Christa Schrauf is also member of the German network “Women leaders in church and diakonia.”
The Kaiserswerther General Conference brings together more than 100 deaconess motherhouses, diaconal communities and organisations from Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa.
