The European Commission has just published the Country Reports for 2020 which analyse each EU member state’s key socio-economic challenges with the aim of providing a framework for the coordination of social and economic policies across the European Union.

This year the reports have a specific focus on the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The reports feature a new dedicated section on environmental sustainability which provides a more comprehensive analysis of Member States’ environmental challenges, with a focus on those areas that interlink with economic and employment policies.

For Eurodiaconia, this moment is the most important point in the annual Semester cycle. It is of utmost importance for us to get our members’ views on how accurately they feel the European Commission’s reports represent the situation in their country.  We would be hugely grateful, if our members could take the time to look at the report and give us their thoughts.

Eurodiaconia will be holding a webinar on Tuesday, the 10th of March from 11.00am – 12.00pm to explain how to approach your Country Report, to give information on the new features of this year’s reports and to advise on how to engage in advocacy on the report through Eurodiaconia.

Please respond to the reports through this form by Sunday 15th March. If it is easier, feel free to reply in your own language.

Please register for this webinar by the 9th of March at the latest.

You can view the Country Report for your country and the official press release on the Commission’s website.
