ekumenska-humanitarna-organizacijaOur member in Serbia the Ekumenska Humanitarna Organizacija (Ecumenical Humanitarian Organisation), has published its Annual Report for 2016 explaining its activities for last year.

EHO is a not-for-profit citizens’ association that continues the work of the Ecumenical Humanitarian Service. Acknowledging their role both as a non-governmental organisation, and a Christian one, EHO continued building on its activities in 2016 to provide support and express solidarity to those who are hungry, those who are thirsty, those needing shelter, and those living with physical and mental challenges. Leafing through the Annual Report, clear examples of how EHO have provided support to those in need are visible throughout their diverse projects; distributing food packages, giving hot meals, supporting children and young people, providing for the homeless and caring for the sick.

Over the last year the Ecumenical Humanitarian Organisation ran a range of activities at some 70 locations in Serbia and employed 81 people in a variety of tasks. They hope that with God’s help, they will be able to notice, stop and help those in need for many years to come. At the same time, the Annual Report also recognises that good will alone is not enough to achieve their aims, and EHO appreciates the support from various organisations and institutions who have helped sustain their work.

You can learn more about the work of EHO in 2016 through their Annual Report, which is available in Serbian, English and German, and more information on the organisation is available on their website.
