Our Greek member APOSTOLI is launching the 2020-2021 session of its Business and Cooperative Support Programme to help small Greek companies go through the COVID-19 crisis.

The support scheme was first established in 2014 with the financial assistance of International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) to aid firms and cooperatives by donating equipment and services and by providing business coaching and mentoring activities. Companies active in the fields of agriculture and food production and which have closed two management years with an annual turnover of € 15,000- € 1,000,000 are eligible to apply for assistance valued at up to € 10,000.

Since 2014, the programme has supported 109 organisations with free production equipment of total value of more than € 1,500,000. Through the scheme these companies have been able to modernise their facilities and create and maintain jobs. Additionally, they regularly donate the extra food created in their production facilities to vulnerable groups.

APOSTOLI’s General Director Mr. Konstantinos Dimtsas notes that this year when humanity is facing unprecedented state of emergency the business sector needs such support schemes more than ever.
