Our member Diaconia Valdese’s project Servizio Migranti (Service for Migrants) has been selected to implement the Migliora – Migrazione & Integrazione (Improve-Migration and Interaction) project for the inclusion of migrants in rural and mountainous areas in Piemonte and Liguria.

Servizio Migranti has in fact been identified as a best practice for the integration of migrants in the Italian regions of Piemonte and Liguria and will be used as a reference to training other organisation operating in the same field within the Migliora project. This last project was designed and implemented by FIERI Research Institute, Labins social cooperative, Associazione Dislivelli, and the MEDI Studies Center – Migrations in the Mediterranean, in cooperation with UNHCR, UN Agency for Refugees, the Piemonte Region, the Metropolitan City of Turin, ANCI Piedmont and ANCI Liguria, and UNCEM Piemonte.

MIGLIORA is a capacity building programme aimed at strengthening the skills and knowledge of public service providers, decision makers, and NGOs, as well as at promoting new opportunities of integrations for migrants in Piemonte, Liguria and Valle d’Aosta.
