Yesterday, the European Parliament adopted the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) programme in its Plenary session in Strasbourg.

The ESF+ programme is a vital tool for the provision of quality social service provision and higher quality of life for all people in Europe in the framework of the next Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027.

Following its vote at the European Parliament, Social Services Europe (SSE) have released a statement welcoming the adoption of the Programme but concerns remain about support to the most deprived and delays in negotiations that jeopardise the quality and continuity of social services.
