The Interreg Central Europe programme has published a Third Call for Proposals, offering around 60 million EUR from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) for new transnational cooperation ideas. Interreg Europe helps regional and local governments across Europe to develop and deliver better policy. Following the first two calls in 2015 and 2016, the programme monitoring committee decided to better target the third call for proposals in specific areas. Therefore, the programme seeks project ideas that help to improve capacities for urban and regional development in four priority areas: innovation and knowledge development, CO2 reduction, natural and cultural resources, and transport.

The third call is designed as a one-step procedure. Project proposals will have to be submitted via the programme’s web-based tool, the electronic Monitoring System (eMS).

Transnational partnerships can be formed by both public and private organisations. The minimum requirement for a project partnership is the participation of 3 financing partners from at least 3 countries. The typical project duration is around 36 months. Co-financing rates reach up to 85 percent depending on the geographical location of an institution.

The call will remain open for applications until 25 January 2018.

You can find more information on the application procedure, and on specific objectives of the thematic focus of the call in the comprehensive application package and in the frequently asked questions (FAQ) section.
