A briefing is now available for members on the European Pillar of Social Rights. The European Pillar of Social Rights (EPSR) is the European Commission’s new initiative to strengthen the social rights of all persons legally residing on EU territory. The final version was launched on 26 April 2017 and contains 20 principles that aim at making already existing social rights more effective, while also providing the foundation to further development and deepening of these rights. The publication of the EPSR was accompanied by several other documents, including two staff working documents and one legal proposal.

This briefing aims at introducing the European Pillar of Social Rights to Eurodiaconia members and to provide some analysis and guidance for further policy action.
